5: Reviewing a document.
Now let's switch roles. Download this
document to your computer, and open it up in OpenOffice .
Pretend you're the writer, and you have just received the above file from
your reader. OpenOffice has some tools that make it easy to go
through the edited document and to decide what changes to keep and what
changes to reject. Familiarize yourself with the following features by experimenting with them and seeing what
happens:
- From the "Edit" menu, select "Changes" and then "Accept or reject..." A window like the following will appear, allowing you to navigate to any of the changes recorded in the document just by clicking on them:

- If you like a change that was made to the document, select it on the list and click the "Accept"
button to make it permanent. If you want to make every change in the document permanent all at once, click the "Accept All" button.
- If you don't like a change that was made to the document, select it on the list and click the "Reject"
button. This deletes the recorded change, putting
that part of the document back to the way it was before your reviewer messed with it.
If you want to undo every change in the document all at once, click the "Reject All" button.
- The "Filter" menu tab in the "Accept or Reject Changes" window allows you to search for changes by certain criteria, such as by the date or by the document editor.
- To navigate among the comments in the file, click on the "View" menu and then select "Navigator." Click on the comments you wish to navigate to under the "Comments" category.

This concludes the tutorial on OpenOffice reviewing.
