"Up and Running" Assignment

For this assignment, you will create a handful of basic webpages to get "up and running" for the semester. The content of the site doesn't matter much (you can use lorem ipsum for the text), but the HTML and CSS files must be hand coded—that is, composed entirely with a basic text editor—and must be accessible from your Oakshare account at:

http://oakland.edu/~yourusername/332/up

Your site must contain 3–5 connected pages. The site must somewhere contain the following HTML elements:

• <p>
• <h1>
• <h2>
• <ul>, with several <li>
• a <ul> with a second-level <ul> having several <li>
• <ol>, with several <li>
• an <img> with a source file served from your Oakshare account with proper width, height, and alt attributes
• a <table> with several <td> and several <tr>
• <title> (on every page)
• At least one instance each of <a> linking
1. to a page on another server,
2. to another page on your website relatively,
3. to another page on your website absolutely,
4. to an anchor on the same page, and
5. to an anchor on another page.

Your entire site must also be styled with a single CSS file. This file should specify a common "look" for all of the site pages, including:

• fonts,
• background colors,
• heading styles, and
• image styles.
