Text Editors for Web Design

Text editors (such as TextEdit, Word Pad, Notepad, vi, emacs, and pico) are a standard part of every operating system, but the following offer more useful features than the standard fare:

• Notepad++: A robust and full-featured text editor for the PC. Includes syntax hightlighting for HTML and other lanugages.
• Text Wrangler: A text editor for the Mac with syntax highlighting and FTP capability.
