1: Setting your identity.

Before we begin using the reviewing features, it's important to tell OpenOffice who you are so that it can attribute your revisions to you. This is something that you only need to do once—in the future you can skip this step.

  1. Under the "OpenOffice" or "File" menu, select "Preferences."
  2. On the left side of the window, click "User Data":The 'User Data' on the left side of the 'Preferences' menu in Open Office.
  3. To the right, type your name and initials into the appropriate fields and click the "OK" button. The options button on the File menu.
